Drake's father doesn't think his son found love with Rihanna.
Dennis Graham insists that his famous spawn's relationship with the "We Found Love" singer is purely platonic — despite Drake professing his love onstage for Rihanna at last month's MTV Video Music Awards.
"There's no relationship," Graham said. "They're friends."
Drake and the Barbados-born singer, who dated years ago, have been linked together all summer. Romance rumors grew even more rampant at the VMAs after the Toronto rapper passionately praised Rihanna before leaning and kissing her on the lips on national television.
She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," he proclaimed at the award show.
In the days since, Rihanna and Drake kissed again at his concert in Miami and have been seen out in public together.
Rihanna, 28, also got a tattoo of a camouflage shark reportedly inspired by a stuffed animal that Drake had previously gifted her with. Less than a week later, what appeared to be the exact same ink was clearly visible on Drake's arm during a concert in New Orleans.
But despite these signs, Drake's father remained steadfast that his son is not in a relationship with the "Needed Me" artist.
"I don't know about settling down," he responded to the cameraman. "No, they're friends."
It's been a momentous summer for Drake, 29, and Rihanna. They dominated Spotify's list of most-streamed songs of the summer in America, with at least one of them either singing or being featured in each of the top five tracks on the compilation.
However, it hasn't been all good for the "Hotline Bling" rapper. Drake and his tour DJ, Future the Prince, had roughly $3 million worth of jewelry robbed from their bus on Tuesday night, Phoenix police told the Daily News.
The stolen items belonged to Future the Prince
