Madness As Ekiti Lawmakers Move Sitting To The Highway



Ekiti State House of Assembly members on Wednesday held the plenary at a major roundabout (Okesa) today to protest the alleged federal government of Nigeria witch hunting of Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The legislators conducted the plenary under a canopy while policemen blocked one side of the two lanes.

They accused Special Adviser on Political matters, Babafemi Ojodu and Lagos Lawyer, Femi Falana for being the brain behind the effort of Federal Government to removing Fayose. They claimed that both Ojodu and Falana are interested in becoming the Governor of Ekiti state.

The Speaker of Ekiti Assembly Kola Oluwawole said, they embark on the sit-out to support Governor Fayose and they want to show the world that they are in support of the embattled Governor.

He also claimed that 10 of the House members have been scheduled for arrest based on allegation of invalid certificates to contest elections.
he said, no amount of intimidation will make them do dirty job. The Chairman Committee on Health Samuel Omotoso also accused Federal Government of double standard. He claimed that, "If you are in PDP, you are a thief, but once you become an APC member, you automatically become a saint"
